Taylor Homes Policy and Rules
House rules:
-Please remember, this is our home! We ask that you treat it with respect. We want it to stay in good condition for the enjoyment of our guests and family, so please follow these guidelines:
*Do not burn candles in the house unless there is a power outage. Do not leave burning candles unattended.
*Remove household garbage to outside cans. Garbage is picked up on the street Monday mornings. Please make sure that the can is very close to the street and the arrows face the proper directions. Recycling is not available here, but the nearby city of Gulf Shores does have a collection center behind City Hall.
*This is a non-smoking home. You are permitted to smoke outdoors only. Butts are to be disposed of in the pots provided or outside trash and not left on the ground. Do not bring the butts into the house for disposal. Ahy violation of the smoking policy will incur a $50 fine. If additional cleaning is necessary to remove smoke odor from the house/linens, costs will be subtracted from your deposit.
*The sewage system is NOT ABLE TO HANDLE feminine products, condoms, or diapers. Please dispose of them in the trash receptacles. Do not flush them down the toilet. Waste and tissue only please!
*House parties are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
*As with any home, wear and tear occurs and sometimes things just quit working, Please report any problems/breakages immediately. This way, they can be repaired right away so that your stay will be more pleasant! If a repair needs to be scheduled, we can do so ASAP- call or text Rachel (see number above.) Please do not wait until you leave to report problems.
Safety:
Supervise young children. The house is NOT childproofed. Cleaning supplies and other hazards may be present and pose a danger to unsupervised children. Do not leave children unattended. We supply games and activities for our guests; however, some games have small pieces/parts and are not suitable for young children, i.e. toddlers and infants, who may put things in their mouths. Do not allow young children to play unsupervised with games.

Occupancy- The home has a maximum occupancy of 8 guests. Renters who exceed the occupancy limit and falsify occupancy information at the time of reservation are subject to eviction.
Illegal Substances- Illegal substances or illegal use of restricted substances (such as underage drinking) are strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate eviction.
Check In:
-Check-in time is no earlier than 4 PM central time. There is only a 5 hour window to completely clean, sanitize, and set up for our next guests. To check in, call Rachel (251-228-2462) about 30 minutes before your arrival. She will walk you through how to enter the house.
-Once you arrive at the home, please check it immediately to be sure that all is in order and as expected. Please let us know immediately if anything needs extra attention so we can have the opportunity to correct defects in cleaning or request repair of any item that may not be operational. While we cannot guarantee the service provided by cable and internet companies, we will make every effort to repair any problem that may occur with these.
Check Out:
-Check out time is no later than 11 AM central time the day that you are scheduled to leave (unless prior arrangements have been made.) Late checkouts will be charged $50 per hour, or up to one night’s rent and will be deducted from the deposit.
-Please leave the property reasonably clean. Be sure to take your food from the refrigerator. Dispose of all trash in proper receptacles. Prior to checkout, all dishes should be washed and put away. Beds may be left unmade and sheets/pillowcases left on. Towels should be placed in the tub. Make sure that all doors/windows are left closed and locked.
-We will not be held liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, call us as soon as possible and we will search for it. If the item is found, we will arrange for shipment. We will inform you of the shipping cost and with your approval, deduct it from your deposit refund to cover the expense.
